Kathleen M. Blee

Kathleen M. Blee (born 1953) is a professor of sociology at the University of Pittsburgh. Her areas of interest include gender, race and racism, social movements, and sociology of space and place. She is notable for her expertise on women in the Ku Klux Klan.

Education

Blee received a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1982 and her M.S. in sociology in 1976. She completed her B.A. in sociology with highest honors in 1974 from Indiana University.
